Notre-Dame de la Treille
Visit one of the most important monuments in the city of Lille. With its striking contemporary façade, the Notre-Dame de la Treille Cathedral attracts attention and arouses curiosity. It must be said that it has nothing to do with the neo-gothic style of the rest of the building. This particularity comes from its history: the Cathedral of Lille was built between 1854 and 1999! The final façade, decorated with a stained glass window by Ladislas Kinjo, was only added in 2008.
This translucent marble façade gives the cathedral a special luminosity. It also symbolically separates the secular world, sober and raw, from the sacred world, luminous and majestic.
Finally, in the crypt of the cathedral, there is now a centre for sacred art.

In the centre of the Grand Place, also known as the Place du Général de Gaulle in Lille, is the Column of the Goddess, a monument inaugurated in 1845 and now surrounded by a fountain-like basin.
An ideal meeting place by day and by night, there are many bars, restaurants and shops around this emblematic monument. You can admire the architecture of the buildings and get a good view of the city in winter thanks to the big wheel.
/ The Citadel
and its park
The Citadelle park is the best place to recharge your batteries and take a breath of fresh air during your stay in Lille. In the heart of the city, discover the Citadelle built by Vauban and the 110-hectare park that surrounds it.
There is a wood with a fitness trail, cycle paths and green lawns for picnics in fine weather. The park also has a tree climbing course, a zoo and a 9,000 m² amusement park.
